چکیده
The presence of any kind endoleak (EL) can jeopardize the durability endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). aim this study was to evaluate role an EL Team in management after EVAR. Patients with type I ELs or II sac expansion >1 cm were included single-center, retrospective study. A multidisciplinary team (EL Team) involving vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists set up for 2015. Before 2015, only involved treatment. Technical success, mortality, occurrence complications, surgical conversion rate, analyzed at 2-year follow-up. Two groups created: group treated by between 2011 2014 B Seventy included: 37 (21 II, 16 I) 33 (19 14 I). In Table are listed types reinterventions performed. Of note, a nonoperative approach performed 11 (53%) ELs, use coil embolization as method treatment significantly more applied B. All received intervention. During follow-up period, one aneurysm-related death occurred both due rupture (group A: 2.7%; B: 3%; P = 1), two other adjunctive non-aneurysm-related deaths (P 1). success 80.8% vs 100% .013) B, respectively. Management of Endoleaks following Endovascular Aneurysm Repair.
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has emerged as a viable alternative to open repair for abdominal aortic aneurysms. Endoleaks are a complication unique to EVAR and can occur in up to 25% of patients. In this article, the management of endoleaks following EVAR will be discussed.
متن کاملRepair of type I endoleak by chimney technique after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
Endovascular aneurysm repair is a minimally invasive, durable and effective alternative to open surgery for treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). However, in patients who do not have an adequate sealing zone, open surgical repair is required, which may increase mortality and morbidity. An alternative treatment in patients with challenging anatomy is the so-called "chimney graft" techni...
متن کاملLate Type 3b Endoleak Mimicking Type 2 Endoleak after Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair
Endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair has been widely used for the treatment of AAA as a safe and efficient method, but endoleaks causing persistent expansion of aneurysm sac may cause aneurysmal rupture and death. Type 3 endoleak is rare but a predominant cause of late rupture. Type 3b endoleak can be misdiagnosed as type 2 endoleak, which is more frequent. Here we report two cas...
متن کاملDelayed Type III Endoleak Caused by Fabric Erosion after Endovascular Repair of an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
A 74-year-old patient presented with recurrent aneurysms in the infrarenal abdominal aorta and right common iliac artery 6 years after endovascular aortic repair using endografts in the same location. The patient underwent an aorto-bi-iliac replacement with removal of the stent graft. Two holes measuring 2 mm each were found in the removed graft, and they appeared to have been caused by wear fr...
متن کاملStudy of endoleaks after endovascular repair by using MDCTA.
PURPOSE Our purpose was to investigate the multi-detector-row CT angiography (MDCTA) application in endoleak detection. METHODS Fifty-nine patients that underwent endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) of an infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm with endoluminal stent graft were retrospectively studied. MDCTA scans were obtained after administration of 110-130 mL of contrast material using a 4-6 ...
